Before technology bullying was a face-to-face interaction, usually at school or coming and going from school. Bullying can cause emotional, physical, or social harm. Now that Internet is available in everyone’s home and on his or her phones people can be bullied from any location not just at school. Bullies are also becoming anonymous by using fake names to attack their victims, making the bullies unrivaled. Cyber bullying is at an all time high because of the amount of technology that is available to children ages 12 to 17 years old. Bullying is a deviant act that is becoming more and more easier to do, and research shows that bullies can create long-term damage to the victim’s mental health causing them to be depressed or respond to issues with extreme violence.
